We were invited to the university of Sheffield to photograph their annual thank you event, taking place at Firth Court.
“Each year we hold a celebratory event to recognise alumni that have given their time to support the students the previous academic year.
Alumni are able to network with students and staff that have benefited from their support during a drink’s reception, enjoy a campus tour, and even find out about upcoming opportunities to stay involved. During the event, the Alumni Volunteer Awards are announced, recognising alumni that have gone above and beyond in their support.
Our recent Thank You Evening was held on 29 March 2019. The event was hosted by Professor Mike Hounslow, who welcomed over 100 alumni and friends of the University to thank them for their generosity over the past year, either by volunteering or through philanthropic support. Current students, Joseph Kealy, BSc Economics (left), and Salma Ghafoor, MBChB (middle), each gave a speech about their student experiences, and the University of Sheffield Saxophone Group (right), who had been awarded a grant by the Alumni Foundation, performed on the evening.” – The university of Sheffield.
I think it’s great to see the university recognising all the work and help people put into the university. I was able to get some great portraits of the two student speakers before the event kicked off, I then made sure to capture all aspects of the event in our candid style.
