The university of Sheffield’s Advance Manufacturing Research Centre invited us to capture the launch day of their new 2050 factory. This huge facility is just one of three that will be opening in the near future, the new additions are going to propel Sheffield’s advance engineering facilities even further ahead compared surrounding cities. The end goal is to have the following three facilities up and running, working alongside each other to develop engineering even further; the Royce Translational Centre (RTC), The Laboratory for Verification and validation (LVV) and the Integrated Civil and Infrastructure research centre (ICAIR). We have been to shoot at the AMRC on a number of occasions now, however, the work we see the engineers doing and the huge facilities never fail to amaze us! Facilities such as these within my city make me proud to be from Sheffield!

Cheers, Timm.
