I was invited by the University of Sheffield to capture their International Showcase, an event Hosted by the International Student’s Committee of The University of Sheffield.
The International Cultural Evening is an annually organised night of cultural performances. This year was an even bigger celebration as it was the 50th anniversary of the International Students Committee who have organised this event for 46 years! As the years passed, the showcase has evolved to a high-profile event which provides students the opportunity to openly celebrate their cultures.
I had the pleasure of experiencing over 10 short performances from a variety of international student groups, who showcased their cultures from all over the world in an unmissable way.
The series of images I captured at this event are rich in diverse cultures, these cultures were represented through dances, music and plays in such a colourful way which is translated into the images.
